The short version: we collect only what you type into a form or give us when you donate. We set no cookies, run no analytics, and use no advertising trackers. We never sell, rent or trade your information.
Who we are
Haven Harbor Heritage is the public brand name of Haven Harbor, a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation recognised by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 41-5217393). Our mailing address is 3202 Wilson Ave., Aliquippa, PA 15001. This policy covers havenharborheritage.org and havenharbor.org.
What we collect
Only what you choose to give us:
- Contact form — your name, email address, subject and message.
- Volunteer form — your name, email address, phone number, general location, skills, availability, experience and anything else you write.
- Newsletter signup — your email address.
- Donations — your name, email address, and the amount and date of your gift.
We do not ask you to create an account, and there is nothing to log into.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own. We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and we run no advertising or social media tracking pixels. We do not track you across other websites.
Who processes it for us
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions, which are forwarded to us by email.
- Give Lively and Stripe handle donations. Your card details go directly to them. We never see or store your card number. They pass us your name, email, and the amount and date, so we can send a receipt and keep proper records.
Each of these companies has its own privacy policy governing what they do with information you give them.
Why we keep it
- To answer you when you write to us.
- To send updates you have asked for.
- To issue donation receipts and keep the financial records required of a charity by the IRS and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone. We share it only with the service providers listed above, and where we are required to by law or by our reporting obligations as a registered charity.
How long we keep it
Donation and financial records are kept for as long as charity and tax law requires. Other messages and signups are kept while they are still useful, and removed on request.
Your choices
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click and we stop.
- Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
- We may need to keep donation records even after a deletion request, because the law requires us to.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
