Our Mission

A safe harbor
for every child.

Haven Harbor Heritage exists to turn disadvantage into advantage — giving orphaned and vulnerable children in Burkina Faso not just safety, but a future. Through a real home, holistic care, and an education that teaches them how to think, we equip each child to thrive anywhere in the world and to help restore their home country.

Because every child deserves a harbor: a safe place to shelter from the storm, and solid ground to drop anchor.

See the crisis we're answering

The Lighthouse

Guidance. An education that shows every child the way forward — teaching them how to think, not just what to think, in French and English.

The Harbor

Safety. A real home with daily meals, healthcare, and the security to simply be a child again.

The Anchor

Belonging. A family that holds for life — every child who comes through our doors always has a place to return to.

What we're building

Hope. Healing. Home.

Three pillars, one foundation. Every child who comes through our doors receives all three — not as a service, but as a birthright.

Hope

An education that opens doors across the world — teaching children how to think, not just what to think, with instruction in French and English. We turn disadvantage into advantage, so every child can build a future no one can take away.

Education · Life skills · Opportunity

Healing

Three nutritious meals a day, on-site healthcare, and therapeutic feeding for children arriving malnourished — paired with trauma-informed care. Before a child can grow, they must first be safe, nourished, and whole.

Nutrition · Health · Trauma care

Home

A safe home with round-the-clock care and trained house parents — a bed of one's own, a door that locks from the inside, and the anchor of a family that holds for life.

Safe home · Family · Belonging

From the Founder

A calling that wouldn't let go.

Some of the clearest moments of my life have come on the back of a Harley. Riding is my meditation — and even back in my twenties, out on the open road, I knew I wanted to spend my life helping people. I built a career in worldwide logistics, but I always felt I wasn't yet following my true calling.

The turning point came through family. When Therese and I traveled to Burkina Faso to visit her family in Ouagadougou, I saw firsthand what conflict and poverty do to children — and how many are left with no one. This time, I didn't just hear the calling. I answered it.

Five years of quiet, self-funded groundwork later, Haven Harbor Heritage is real: three properties secured, 501(c)(3) status granted, and a promise to every child we will serve — you are safe here.

"I'm just a guy with a dream. And we can build it together."
